Financial Dispute Resolution Service appoints high profile Director
Trevor’s extensive expertise within the financial service sector and experience as commercial mediator, negotiator and trainer, make him a natural fit for leading Financial Dispute Resolution Service.
Financial Dispute Resolution Service is an approved dispute resolution scheme for financial service providers in New Zealand. The scheme is managed by FairWay Resolution Limited (Fair Way), New Zealand’s largest specialist conflict management and dispute resolution organisation. Fair Way is an independent, employee-owned organisation that handles over 14,000 disputes, reviews and enquiries each year.
As Client Director of Financial Dispute Resolution Service, Trevor will lead the team of facilitators, mediators, and adjudicators who are experts in complaint handling, and have specialist training in the finance sector.
“When issues arise, both financial service providers and their customers want to get it sorted. FDRS has a great reputation for resolving matters efficiently, while preserving the relationship. It’s great to be part of a hands-on team that’s helping parties in dispute move forward,” said Trevor.
Trevor has recently finished contracting as the General Manager to the financial compliance company IDS Limited. Before joining IDS, Trevor was the General Manager of Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL) having co-started this company in 2010; lead conciliator at the Banking Ombudsman and National Relations Manager with the Financial Industry Complaints Service (FICS) in Melbourne.
“FDRS is more than an approved dispute resolution scheme. FDRS provides real value for its members, with a big emphasis on relationships, education and advice. I’m excited to be part of a service that truly makes a mark in the financial service industry,” said Trevor.
